It has been pointed out to me that there have been previous Royal Commissions into the Victorian bush fires in 1939 and 2009, and no doubt some of the findings would be similar - but this I believe is a very different event, happening over much larger areas right across the country, and as such will have some different causes, and requires a different investigation.
