I was threatened in a park for defending a pigeon from abuse. It was terrifying.
Has this happened to you? If so, tell your MP about it. Safety for everyone in parks and public places is paramount, and it should matter to MPs that people do not feel safe, and are threatened, just for being kind.
We demand safe, abuse-free parks and public places, where people are never threatened for defending defenceless pigeons or any other vulnerable creature.
Pigeons urgently need protection under the Wildlife and Countryside Act,1981, whereby it is an offence to harm any wild bird - pigeons included. This Act is not being enforced.
Ask your MP to help get the Wildlife and Countryside Act enforced, so that pigeons are fully and effectively protected under the law. There is no need to abuse them. The U.K. is a Nation of Animal Lovers, and must live up to that reputation, and lead the world in showing kindness to all species of animals and birds.

One day, we will get persecution of pigeons stopped. It is Speciesism - the animal equivalent of racism. It is incredibly cruel and unfair and should not be happening.
