Women are particularly vulnerable.

EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO ENJOY PARKS AND PUBLIC PLACES SAFELY, AND WITHOUT FEAR OF BEING THREATENED, ABUSED OR INTIMIDATED.
1. Defenceless pigeons, as sentient birds, must be protected from abuse under the new Animal Welfare Sentience bill. This is currently being discussed in Parliament. Pigeons need protection under the new law, before it is too late.
2. People who defend pigeons must be protected from abuse.
Public places and parks need to be made safe for EVERYONE; security cameras would help to protect pigeons from abuse, identify the bullies and help protect people who defend pigeons from being threatened.

Sir David Attenborough is not very positive about helping to stop the abuse of pigeons. Nevertheless, he did make a television series on Eden, entitled “Natural Curiosities”, which featured pigeons. Series 4 was broadcast in June 2017 and Number 2 in the series, “Finding the Way”, describes the amazing navigational and homing skills of pigeons.
I am still waiting to hear from the BBC, Classic fm and the Green Party.
Please contact MPs, the media and celebrities to raise awareness of this petition. We need to stop the abuse of pigeons, and the abuse of people who defend pigeons - and particularly women.
