We all want our parks and public places to be safe and abuse free. We want the cruelty to pigeons to stop. It is cruel and unnecessary.
I have just received a suggestion that we contact schools to help stop pigeon abuse. If children at school could start by being kind to pigeons, this could go a long way towards stopping the cruelty.
Could your local school or college help? Please contact them to ask, and enclose the link to this petition. Could the Department for Education help?

Please share the song. There is no need to persecute pigeons. They’ve done nothing wrong, as the song says!
Pigeons helped the allies win WW1 and WW2, as vital messengers. They flew for hundreds of miles and sacrificed their lives to enable us to win victory and the freedom which we all enjoy today. The vital role of pigeons in wartime must never be belittled or forgotten.
All living creatures deserve respect and kindness. No living creature should be abused.
Let’s get cruel treatment of pigeons outlawed and stopped. It must become something which is no longer acceptable and which nobody does any longer.
The idea of building pigeon houses is also a good one, to give pigeons somewhere to live, protection from abuse and so that they can provide guano which is highly prized as fertiliser by organic farmers and gardeners today. Pigeons could then be key players in a greener world for us all.
