Parks and public areas are unsafe when pigeons are abused. It is dangerous to defend them. Anyone who intervenes to try to stop this cruelty risks their own personal safety.
Pigeons pose no risk to human health, as confirmed by vets and RSPB. There is no reason whatsoever to persecute these defenceless, gentle birds. Teaching children to be kind to them is essential.
