Make The Tongass America’s next National Park

Make The Tongass America’s next National Park
The Issue
The Tongass National Forest in Southeast Alaska is the largest national forest in the United States at 16.7 million acres. Most of its area is temperate rain forest, and is remote enough to be home to many species of endangered and rare flora and fauna.
From the Alexander Archipelago Wolves, to grizzlies and black bears and the occasional kermode, spirit bear, and the extremely rare glacial bears to every salmon species who spawn in amazing numbers.
More than 9.3 million acres of forests featuring old-growth stands of red and yellow cedar, Sitka spruce and Western hemlock.
This pristine wilderness is being opened up to logging and also to the trapping and hunting of almost all of its rare wolf species.
Please help get federal protection in the name of converting this amazing rain forest to a National Park and help save this area for every generation to enjoy.
