Recruit graduate teachers now

The progress and fast pace development of every nation depends greatly on the education of the masses. Ghana, as a developing country which seeks to rub shoulders with others aspires for this vision yet the educational system which would be the main drive behind this development is in a limbo.
There are over 70,000 shortage of teachers in public schools nation wide, however the appropriate quarters that must ensure that teachers are in the schools are feeling reluctant.
Year in, year out the nation records about 70% failure of students in both first and second cycle schools at the end of the final exams. Meanwhile, graduates (numbering about 6,000) who have completed their 4-years degree program in all field of education are not been recruited to fill the vacancies. Since 2012 government has placed an embargo on the recruitment of teachers and this is seriously killing the educational system of the country.
Therefore, we call on you to sign this petition in order for the government to lift the embargo, so we save the educational system of our country Ghana. Thank you
