Justice For Ebbie Noelle Samuels.

Ebbie Noelle Samuels was a form One student at Gatanga CCM Girls Secondary School. She was excited about school, university and had even identified her university of choice where she would pursue her college education.

Barely 2 weeks after i took her back to school from her first ever midterm break, on 9th march 2019 at 8am, i received a call from the deputy principal then the school principal informing me that my daughter was unwell and had been rushed to Naidu Hospital in Thika town and that i needed to go there.

I left shortly after the call and on arrival i did not find my daughter but her cold stiff body laid out on a stretcher in a room within the hospital. She was DEAD. The principal  Ms.Veronica Wanjiku Mwangi insisted that my daughter had failed to wake up that very morning and that she had died on her way to the hospital.

My suspicion was heightened when the principal insisted that  because my daughter had low blood pressure from her medical records of January 10th, 2019 , that she must have died in her sleep which i felt was conflicting considering she had said that, that morning she was breathing and must have died on her way to the hospital.

The Autospy report revealed that she died of 'BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA' at the vertex that caused severe Hemorrhage. The 3 Pathologists confirmed that the severity of the injuries were inflicted by someone else and no amount of self injury would have caused such.

This confirmed that indeed my daughter Ebbie Noelle Samuels had been struck and killed  and the school administration was working hard to cover up the murder.

It has been 114 days since my daughter was killed, my family has been hit hard and suffers loss of our eldest daughter, a big sister to our children and a best friend to the little sister who has for the last 114 days has never for a single day failed to ask me where her sister is and when she is coming back home. A question that sends my heart to deeper pain than i have experienced.

I am calling on the government to investigate and apprehend my daughters killers. She was a harmless and helpless student who had not even understood what high school meant let alone settling in and getting to know who she was in that space when she met her untimely death. Ebbie Noelle Samuels is just but one student who among many have been maimed, injured, handicapped and even killed by teachers who are entrusted to care for them in institutions of learning while they are in their teenage years.

No one was arrested since 9th of March even after the principal carried my daughters dead body from here bed and took her 21 km away leaving a government hospital withing thee school proximity and called on police from a far police post leaving a police station next to the school. According to the doctor who received her body first, his assessment was that she was dead longer than 4 hours but the madam principal Veronica Wanjiku Mwangi clearly carried her body to conceal the evidence and not allow the homicide department from accessing and assessing before collecting her body from her bed.

Am calling on you my president to intervene and issue directives to have your able officers and all this departments to investigate and end school brutality. Schools are supposed to be education institutions but not killing and maiming dens.

My sincere prayer is that you all will act for the better of our children and for Ebbie Noelle Samuels to get Justice.

Regards,

Martha Wanjiro Wainaina (Samuels) -Ebbie Noelles Samuels' Mom
