Steven K. Bannon holds a Master's Degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University. As CEO of Breitbart and Counselor to the President of the United States, he has made statements and incited animus towards racial and cultural minorities that are not in keeping with the Jesuit traditions of Georgetown University. Further, as Presidential Counselor, he has been instrumental in advocating immigration policies and making structural changes to the country's National Security Council which neither reflect the teachings of the university, are in line with its values and ideals, nor promote behaviors and actions in line with Jesuit beliefs.

Revocation of his degree will signal that his words, actions and behaviors are not endorsed by the university, its officials, students, or alumni.
