Kat Larson started this petition to THE PRESIDENT and

I am here to try and make a change regarding the various types of products that are sold in the United States that test on animals. Not all the testing is done in the states however that does not mean our country cannot make changes to our laws regarding the safety of animals. This will create a cruelty free nation. This will make sure the United States of America is only selling and producing cruelty free products.

Various cleaning, hair care, skin care, makeup, etc. products are tested on animals. Lots of companies go through China to manufacture products. It is a requirement to test products on animals in China. However, it is not the case in the United States. California is one of the states that is in the process of implicating all cosmetics being sold in the state must be cruelty free. This is extremely important because the span of animals that get taken every from the wild and their families to be brought to labs to be tortured. (Imagine if that was your pet or child…. Being taken and in a lab for the rest of their life because YES dogs, cats, and rabbits are examples of their test subjects too). You have a vote each time you make a cosmetic purchase. The companies that make the most money show what does well. If the increase in Cruelty Free brands rise, then companies will HOPEFULLY switch over like CoverGirl. Many Cruelty Free brands usually are better for the planet, sometimes also vegan, sometimes also organic & Less to non-toxic. Some examples of cleaning companies that test are Clorox and Windex. Revlon’s MAIN test animal is a surplus of Rabbits they use 50,000 Rabbits alone, not including other animals they have in their labs… (I was informed this in a video a few years ago and cannot find the link for you because I do not remember which specific page, I watched it on). A parent company is a company that owns many others of their own OR purchased them. An example of a parent company is Estee Lauder owning Cruelty Free company Smashbox.  Parent companies can be testing companies and own subcompanies that do NOT test. They most likely bought these other or smaller companies. Parent companies do not usually force their subcompany purchased to switch over to test on animals.

This petition is to eventually bring this all the way up to the White House with time and create punishment time that serves the severity of the crimes. I believe a MINIMUM of 5 years in prison WITH fines should be the basis for animal abuse crime. I also believe a MINIMUM of 10 years in prison WITH fines should be the basis for poaching considering it endangers species much faster.

This law banning products that test in the United States would be not only a huge step in chemical manufacturing process but for the animals everywhere. All products sold in the United States of America spanning from cleaning to cosmetics will be free from animal testing and manufactured elsewhere. I would much appreciate your support taking this to the White House as well would animals everywhere. Thank You for your signature.
