Football is nothing without the fans.

Football is for fans. And not the armchair variety. Football is for those fans whose love of their team compels them to attend matches home and away; in all weathers; regardless of whether their team is at the top or the bottom of the league; and whether playing well or poorly.

The Premier League is understood to be considering the playing of matches without fans in attendance - behind closed doors - as a result of COVID-19.

Why? The answer is simple - for the money. Armchair fans are valued. Devoted fans who follow their club and regularly attend matches are not. Armchair fans are more profitable. Fans who attend matches are second class citizens. Fixtures dates and times are regularly changed for the convenience of the paying subscribers at home or in pubs. No thought is given to the inconvenience fixture changes have on the fans attending games.

It's time to put first those fans who attend games. Don't allow them to miss out again. Matches should NOT be played behind closed doors.

Please sign the petition to ask the Premier League to resume matches only when fans can once again attend and support the teams they love.

Thank you.
