My mother had a very beloved dog by the name of Lucky when she was younger this dog was the equalivalant of a childhood friend. He was very smart he was a German Shepard Mix. They went everywhere together it was her baby, he was a very beautiful dog but one day, my mother and father came back from Greece one day and they went to visit my Grandfather who didn't want the dog at his house so she gave him to her mother for a bit while she was there. After awhile her friend offered to take care of it because her mother said he was having seizures which my mother told me they told her when she first got him because of an early sickness. Her mother thought the dog was sick and brought him to the local pound. Now you might be thinking why didn't she get it? Well considering they were in different states, you also need a code to find out what happened to the dog. To this day we do not know what happened to the dog even with the code because it was "too long ago". If you work at a pound know the horrible things that happens to the innocent souls of a dog after 3 long horrible lonely days. My parents have 5 dogs most are rescues from people who have abandoned them or worse. These dogs will never make up for that one, we love them to death but it's like a child, one can't make up the other it's just about personality.
