The George Tavern’s High Court appeal of the Planning Inspectorate’s decision to allow the building of flats in close proximity to the established pub and music venue has unfortunately been rejected by the Judge. Landlady Pauline and her family are currently applying to appeal this decision. As you’ll no doubt realise, this continued legal challenge comes at a cost and Pauline and her family are grateful to everyone who contributed to their crowdfunding campaign or bought a t-shirt. Pauline has been nominated for a “heritage angel” award. Voting is now over, but we’ll find out whether she’s won the award at a ceremony in London on September 7th.
