This petition aims to make light of what is happening in hospitals and clinics in the Philippines. It aims to push the Philippine Government to assist the frontline workers of the Philippines against the ongoing epidemic known as "COVID-19". This will be done by limiting the purchase of medical supplies for non-medical workers to avoid hoarding and the misuse of medical supplies. This is to avoid the shortage of medical equipment in hospitals for protection from COVID-19.

St. Jude Family Hospital in Los Baños, Laguna is experiencing a lack of equipment. They resorted to the use of mere garbage bags to protect themselves from the virus while treating the patients. There might be more hospitals that experience this kind of problem and we can slowly mitigate that by limiting our purchase of medical supplies like facemask, alcohol, sanitizers and others.

As Filipinos, bayanihan is a large part of our culture and if we integrate this in fighting COVID-19 then we can win. We can help support our frontliners by giving them space and avoiding the hoarding of medical supplies for them.
