The People’s Petition for Global Justice Against Authoritarianism

The People’s Petition for Global Justice Against Authoritarianism
The Issue
To the International Criminal Court, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, the United Nations Human Rights Council, democratic governments, and citizens of the world:
We, the undersigned, call for the immediate formation of a modern Nuremberg-style tribunal to investigate, document, and prosecute the coordinated abuses of power, crimes against humanity, and authoritarian attempts to dismantle democracy in the United States and beyond.
We issue this demand as a matter of global urgency; because what is unfolding is not a national crisis, but an international one.
The return of Donald J. Trump to power in 2025, and the current actions of his administration, represent a direct threat to:
The integrity of U.S. democracy
International human rights protections
The sovereignty of other nations
And the post-WWII legal order that once said “Never again.”
The President of the United States, his cabinet, and co conspirators are publicly endorsing and/or engaging in;
- Crimes against humanity, including politically motivated deportations, targeted surveillance, obstruction of justice, and state-enabled violence
- The spread of authoritarian regimes, mass disinformation, and erosion of rule of law by elected leaders
- Displayed actions of invasion of sovereign nations, complicity in genocide, and the use of emergency powers to suppress dissent and transparency
From the forced deportations of asylum seekers and suppression of federal investigations, threats against sovereign nations, international treaty violations, disruption to world trade, crimes against humanity, war crimes, to the continued suppression of the classified section of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s report, this administration is engaged in deliberate obstruction, political retaliation, disinformation, and the quiet normalization of authoritarian rule. We demand:
- Establish an international truth and universal jurisdiction to launch independent proceedings against officials engaged in obstruction, deportation abuses, or international law violations.
- Open preliminary investigations into suppression of evidence within the U.S. government, including the classified Jack Smith report.
- Protect and support whistleblowers, journalists, and international witnesses willing to testify.
- Document and archive evidence for prosecution, regardless of attempts to avoid accountability
5. Affirm that no leader, elected or appointed, is above international human rights law.
We say this to every institution, leader, and citizen with a conscience:
Let history be absolutely clear: The world once set an international precedent; no man, no regime, no government is above accountability for atrocities.
No leader has the right to conceal their crimes behind a badge of office. No administration can bury the truth beneath legal technicalities or classified files. The architects of oppression do not get to declare themselves untouchable.
At Nuremberg, the world was courageous enough to say: We will not forget. We will not allow this again.
That promise was not conditional. It was binding. But, here we are. We must not betray betray the legacy of those who fell victim to corruption and silence.
This petition will be delivered to:
The International Criminal Court (ICC)
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR)
The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
Elected officials and allied democracies across Europe, Latin America, and Asia
Signed,
[Global citizens, leaders, survivors, legal professionals, whistleblowers, public figures, organizations]
[Country / Role / Optional testimony]
