The Issue

Community Hubs, and cost free Creative Spaces NEEDED for Toronto’s less fortunate & LGBTQ Communities! (Paid Incentives) #feedthehungry

Our communities thrive when creativity, education, and social support are accessible to everyone. However, many grassroots artists, marginalized creators, and community-led programs continue to face barriers because of high registration fees, limited grant access, and a lack of affordable local spaces to develop their work.

In 2023, this initiative began as a proposed annual Christmas donation bin at 3367 Dundas St. W., collecting donated goods for the Daily Bread Food Bank in Etobicoke. In 2024 and 2025, it expanded into a broader community arts and outreach project combining donation efforts, creative programming, and community engagement, with the goal of becoming an Ontario-wide web series highlighting local voices and opportunities.

We are calling on Toronto City Council members, including representatives such as Chris Moise, Amber Morley, Mayor Chow to support stronger access to grants, funding opportunities, apprenticeship pathways, community service programs,+ MENTAL HEALTHCARE centered local community hubs.

Cost-Free creative spaces with paid workshops or programs; can provide life changing alternatives for people seeking connection, employment opportunities, mentorship, and skill development. These initiatives help individuals build confidence, create careers, and contribute in a healthy way to our Ontario communities.

By signing this petition, we are asking for greater investment in grassroots programs, accessible funding, and community-based solutions that pay artists, show workers, at risk youth, and residents across Ontario, Canada, parts of the US; and whatever other groups support this movement across the world.

Every signature helps push for a future where creativity, education, and community care are valued and supported. —Support starving artists !
