The Lache Backies is a beautiful meadow within the Lache we need to keep this public open nature space which is an asset to the lache with much potential. As well as being important for health and wellbeing of the Lache residents and the wider community. It is a high quality space with much wildlife and nature, such as great crested newts, frogs, bats, a variety of butterflies, wildflowers, the list goes on, this all needs protecting. It is a beautiful play space for the younger generation as well as being full of potential to bring the local and wider community together. The cwac guidance is that 6 acres of accessible green space needs to be available for the community to thrive, we have it on our doorstep and would like to keep it that way. The history of the backies is full and many Lache families have fond memories and stories spanning generations. Please help us to protect this space and sign our petition.
