The Issue
May 8th 1945 was Victory in Europe day. The Germans had surrendered thus bringing the violace in Europe to a close. Many soldiers and civilians lost their lives and without them we would be in a very different place today! As a mark of respect I wish to make the 8th of May a bank holiday to honour those who lost their lives
