As of the 6th June 2020, 40,000 human lives have been lost in the United Kingdom, in the space of just over 3 months. 

In the 2019 General Election, a man who has been fired twice in the past for lying was elected our Prime Minister, despite the fact 56.4% of the voters didn't vote for him.

This has evidently now become a grave and costly mistake.

The cost I'm talking about here isn't money, or jobs, or happiness - but 40,000 human lives. 40,000 mothers and fathers and sons and daughters and sisters and brothers and grandparents and uncles and aunties and cousins and friends and colleagues and neighbours. All who died from no fault of their own.

To put this into scale, the United Kingdom with a population of roughly 67.9 million people has the same death toll as: Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, China, India, Ireland, Japan and Belgium combined. Those countries together have a population of approximately 3.1 billion people.

Boris has continually lied to us, he missed 5 Cobra meetings over the pandemic, he brought in the nationwide lock down too late even after seeing other countries' mistakes. He refuses to sack Dominic Cummings after blatant illegal breaking of the lock down rules, and despite our continual shortage of PPE he missed 4 opportunities to join the EU's PPE scheme.

His failings have caused us to lose more civilians than this country did during The Blitz, and more NHS staff than the number of British Military personnel that died during the Iraq War.

Boris Johnson resigning will not bring back the 40,000 loved ones we have lost. However it will be the start of him answering for his failings, lies, and the crushing loss and heartbreak inflicted on all of us.
