Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to switch us to the metric system. This will be an economic and academic disaster.

Children will have to stop learning in feet and inches and relearn everything in decimeters and grams. All of their education up to this point is wasted and they will have to essentially start at the beginning again.

Adults will have to change the way they talk and think, undoing decades of learning and knowledge. Businesses will slow as the workforce adds new conversions to their jobs. 

We'll have to rebuild everything to conform to the metric system, and all the roads and road signs will be useless! It will cost taxpayers billions if not trillions to redo all the buildings.

America is the only country to use feet and inches, and it needs to stay that way to preserve our American way of life. Countries that use the metric system include: Socialist England, Socialist Sweden, Communist Russia, Communist China. America landed on the moon with feet and inches, and we won the Korean war with feet and inches, why should we change now?
