Would you want to be left outside with no food or water and no one to take care of you in the HOT Arizona sun? If you have to stop and ask yourself that question then you should not have animals. The people that abuse animals should not be allowed to have them. Once they are charged with abuse or neglect and the animals are taken away, they should not be given back. If the abusers are found guilty, the sentence should be one year in jail and no longer allowed to have any type of animal. If found that they do get another animal, the sentence should be another year plus the one year totaling 2 years in jail. If you find that you can not keep your animal then take it to the shelter DURING OFFICE HOURS. Do not tie them to the fence on the weekend. If you do, you are no better then a abuser and should be subjected to the same consequences as an abuser.
