Mayor Marty Walsh refuses to appear in a side-by-side debate with the other candidates for Mayor of Boston before Boston's preliminary election on September 26th 2017. His campaign claims that he will do so if all four candidates are invited to debate, though he has repeatedly turned down opportunities to do exactly that at several community forums earlier this year.

It is essential that citizens are fully informed of all options to ensure a fair election and uphold the democratic process. The people of Boston deserve to hear from every mayoral candidate so they can cast an educated vote for the future of our city.
