This is a petition from the parents of the 2021 Barton high school graduating class to have a graduation ceremony on the football field.

Graduation for the 2021 class has already been canceled due to COVID-19 while we understand this was due to safety concerns. By the school board as the parents feel it is unfair to the graduating class because football and basketball games have been played. 

These students have worked for 13 years to accomplish this goal and now it is being taken away from them and letting them know that sports is more important than graduating.

With graduating on the football field  you can restrict the number of guest. If the football field is used there are 80 graduates with 4 to 6 guest per student would be 320 to 480 guest depending on the tickets.
