PV Runs On PALs! From the moment you arrive on campus, PALs are there to lead, teach, and pass down PV history and traditions. During the peak of worldwide disarray, PALs was changed from student led organization (as its always been), to a university led program. Since this shift, the first year students have suffered greatly. Communication from the "Advisory Board" has been horrible and PALS have been suffering personally and as an organization. After not being able to act as PALS for the last year, we were informed that the organization will now primarily consist of new applicants instead of having a strong presence of returning PALS. The advisory board has now hand picked who they want to be in the program. This is outlandish considering that one of the main purposes of the organization is to pass down tradition. Most of the new PALS have not fully experienced the traditions they are now charged with teaching. Members of this "Advisory Board' have never experienced PALS and have personally shared that they do not care for the organization. Their actions over the last year and a half have only proved that they do not want PALS to be the organization that we know and love. PALS needs to return to being a student led organization if we are truly following the purpose its founders outlined!
