Many animals have commonly accepted names for what to call a group of individuals. Oftentimes these are correlative to how much thought we've given to that species.

So how is it that Squid have become relegated to a generic term for a large number of fish swimming together? Squid aren't even fish.

It is about time that Squid get a name that more accurately matches the regard with which they are held in the public consciousness and is less misleading about their natural state in the animal kingdom.
