The Olympic Pools and Fitness Centre is under threat of losing its amazing community of people, health and fitness. 

With the lease being up for term end in November, the Waitemata Local Board was voting for the future of the current businesses operation on Tuesday 17th September. They have delayed a decision until next week (at least)...

The Olympic Pools and Fitness Centre has been in business for over 30 years. They have provided a safe, welcoming and friendly swimming centre to millions of people. 

There is a thriving community of positive members, trainers, staff and local businesses who love and rely on this operation. 

Taking it away, is almost unbelievable to consider...Yet this has been submitted within the Auckland Council's recommendations to the local board. 

It is a simple one for us here at The Olympic, we want to extend a 10 year lease to:

1. Keep this amazing community together and growing
2. Invest in CAPEX developments, such as new sauna, steam room and changing room remodelling. 
3. Continue to give the people of Auckland their favourite fitness centre
4. Bring positive influence to thousands of peoples lives  
5. Grow the businesses within The Olympic, such as Swim Squads Newmarket, United Swimming Club, Aqua Cafe, Hilton Brown Swimming, Refine Health and Body Torque. So many great people and places are affected by this disruption and damage.

So please sign the petition in support of the current management staff (who have been there for 30 years), to attain the 10 year lease, and keep The Olympic being the special place that it is.
