Sign this petition to protest virtual commencement for the Class of 2020! We aren't fighting to hold the same commencement date as that would endanger countless lives. We are looking to hold commencement once it is safe to do so. This is not historic, nor is it the ending we have worked so hard to reach.

To President Drake and his administration,

The news of virtual commencement is heartbreaking for us seniors. After working so diligently for four years, virtual commencement feels like a kick to the gut. 

Please hear us when we say we understand how much thought went into this idea, but as our President, we know you value feedback from the students who experience the campus environment that you create. As such, we feel it is our place to tell you this is not the ending we want, nor frankly is it the one we deserve to end our time at Ohio State. 

We implore you to seek other alternatives. Consider pushing the date back, and having a virtual option for those students who had to fly home. Consider anything other than leaving us with the memory of logging onto our laptops to halfheartedly celebrate four incredible years at our favorite place.
