The Issue
Derry tops the league tables for unemployment and poverty. Derry is the only City in Ireland not connected to the others by Motorway and proper rail service. We have 4000 students as opposed to approx 35,000 in Belfast and almost 6000 in Athlone! Unless these infrastructure plans are reinstated Derry will fall further behind and our young will have to leave to find jobs elsewhere.
