End the dolphin slaughter by the Faroe Islands

The co-operation between the Nordic countries is the world’s oldest regional partnership. It involves Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland.
Their Vision for Nordic co-operation:
Our vision is to make the Nordic Region the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030. The co-operation in the Nordic Council of Ministers must serve this purpose..
We are asking the Nordic Council to act against the slaughter of dolphins by the Faroe Islands.
The very essence of this "tradition" goes against the vision of this Council. Dolphins and whales have a huge, positive impact on climate change.
The world have condemned the recent slaughter of over 1400 white sided dolphins which were in no way all processed for food. This makes a mockery of your values and by not speaking against it makes you complicit.
In the words of Captain Paul Watson ~ "The killing of dolphins and whales is a crime under European Union laws. So why the determination and the overkill to support such a barbaric, inhumane and uncivilized slaughter of defenceless, intelligent, socially complex, sentient beings?
We would like to see action against the Faroe Islands until this barbaric practice is halted for good.
