The position of CEO/ National Librarian is supposed to be occupied by a qualified Librarian, we therefore reject the current advert of the NLSA CEO as it stands any  candidate without a library qualification meet the minimum requirement by just having an MBA. The current duties have nothing to do with the role of the NLSA. The NLSA act is clear about the functions and therefore that of the person leading it. We therefore call on the NLSA board to withdraw the advert and re-advertise the position with the correct LIS qualification and managerial experience.
