This Petition is to the NY State Parole Board to deny parole to Fredrick Faeth.  We are collecting as many signatures as possible before Faeth’s next parole hearing at the end of August of this year.  In October 1983, Frederick Faeth confessed to sodomizing and murdering 11 year Chris Keszegh of College Point NY.  At the time of his arrest he made a full confession and is currently serving a 15 to life sentence at Bare Hill Correctional Facility.  Due to his cooperation and confession he did not receive a full life sentence and has been petitioning the state for his parole ever since.

Throughout his teens Faeth was known as a heavy drug user who would do anything to get money to feed his habits. He was part of a group that would frequent a Middle Village apartment that was known to be a hangout for pedophiles.  Faeth has acknowledged that he had performed sexual favors to the owners of the apartment in exchange for money and place to stay and his record shows that he had been arrested and sent to Rikers Island several times.  He has also acknowledged that he knew Jeffery Batan.

On Feb 17 1978, Faeth was released from Rikers and back in Middle Village, 4 days later the body of 14 year old Jeffery Batan was found stabbed over 14 times and sodomized, his body dumped in the snowy courtyard behind a complex across the street from the apartment.  Sadly Jeff's murder has yet to be solved.  The fact that Faeth admitted to a similar murder 5 years after Jeff's gruesome death has prompted a group of us that knew Jeff and his family to demand that Faeth never be granted parole.  Many of us still carry the trauma and sadness of what happened to a young friend and several of our friends have come forward to painfully relive the abuse and intimidation that Faeth and the other older teens and men who occupied the apartment inflicted upon them.   Abuse that they were too ashamed of and scared to reveal as children. 

Now over 40 years later with the family of the victim he admitted to raping and killing in 1983 no longer in the country we have pledged to make it our priority that Frederick Faeth finishes out his life behind bars.  On behalf of the Middle Village, Rego Park communities thank you for reading this.  PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE with as many people as you can.  This petition will be sent just to the Parole Board and they have assured us that petitions to the board are never revealed or disclosed to the inmate.
