Registration of migrants entering the state is a task carried out in the public interest (Art. (6)(1)(e) EU GDPR) by the Department of Justice, Ireland, hence the Irish Naturalisation & Immigration Service Delivery must implement measures to ensure lawful and fair processing (Art. (6)(3) EU GDPR)
