I am a proud Human Being today. A light has been sparked and people are beginning to remember their human values. For the last year or more we have all been bombarded by the images of suffering and injustice around us; many feeling powerless to effect any worthwhile change, as age old problems persist and burden the people with philosophical ponderings about the meaning of life. Having our own cares and challenges protesting in the street may not be feasible, although your heart and soul connect to the possibility of a better world. Yes, it is a lofty goal but not an impossible one; if not for the dreamers of the past, the ones who decided to face opposition in order to give voice to the voiceless, we would not be able to say that we enjoy modern day advancements and access without facing harsh opposition to the evolution of mankind. A more loving mankind, conscientious stewards of each other and the earth is possible. We ask the politicians for change but they do not seem interested, People are tired and apathetic because they also have been beaten down so unity is an effort. We cannot give in to the darkness that would allow itself to set in. It is up to us the people to resist violence with truth and integrity; sometimes it is a simple to do that with a signature. let's stand together! The more that we circulate the petition, the more people who can lend their voices in their own unique way to express their support for human rights and the peaceful protest of citizens who just want to live in a better society.....
