The Seattle Seahawks have an unfair advantage compared to other homefield advantages throughout the league. The crowd consistantly inhibits the visiting team from functioning as a football team and takes the competition out of the hands of the teams and places it in a third, unregulated, factor that arguably stiffles the offensive playcalling ability of visiting teams. The Seahawks consistantly beat visiting teams by double digits. The NFL currently has rules to regulate crowd noises, specifically regarding the inhibition of a teams ability to hear and make play calls, but has not enforced it in Seattle even though the crowd clearly affects the rythm of the game. This so-called "12th Man" is commented on and credited by broadcasters and sports commentators alike. Either enforce the crowd noise rule or force the Seahawks to install noise buffering apparatus' throughout the stadium to reduce the decibel levels to the mean decibel level of all other NFL stadiums.
