Tibet's rich culture, history, and sovereignty are under the threat from the Chinese government's ongoing attempts to rename Tibet as "Xizang". This renaming is a strategic move to further implement a broader agenda aimed at the erasure of Tibet's distinctive cultural identity. By renaming Tibet, the Chinese government is essentially trying to rewrite history, and distort our collective memory. This is not just an attack on the name of a geographical area, it is an aggressive assault on a people’s identity.

We, Tibetans along with our global supporters, refuse to allow this perversion of our history and identity. We are rallying to send a clear message: THE NAME IS TIBET, NOT XIZANG! We urge institutions globally to recognize and respect our call. Silence and inaction will be complicit in the obliteration of a rich cultural heritage.
