On July 29th, 2015 our foster dog, Linda was murdered while playing with two other dogs in the desert. They were just chasing lizards. Linda had gotten out during a horrific storm. Thunder, lighting and torrential rains. In addition to spending countless hours out searching for Linda, our foster, Sandra Gannon, had plastered the area with flyers of our little lost girl in hopes that a kind soul would find her, take her in, and make that call to get Linda home. That was not the case. A man fired on Linda with a high powered rifle, and as she screamed, the shooter's neighbor ran across the field to her. It was too late. She was already gone.

The shooter fired a total of three times. He tried to kill all three of the dogs that were playing together. The dogs WERE NOT EVEN ON HIS PROPERTY. The police were called by the witness. The man's guns were confiscated and also three spent shell casings. This man is an RN and should know the value of ALL life. It appears that these lost pups were used as target practice.

We are asking for your support to send a strong message to the Morongo DA's office that we all want "JUSTICE FOR LINDA". The deputy that filed the report took her collar and tags and failed to notify anyone of her death, while day after day Sandra searched, and we prayed that our girl would be found and brought home safely. Linda celebrated her first birthday in July, and she was cut down by a man (and I use the term loosely) that was not defending himself or another. He just murdered her.
