Calling all animal lovers, adoptive families and supporters of East Pelion Animal Welfare: Please add your name to our petition! We are calling on Deputy Mayor for the Environment of Volos, Mr Malamatinis, to stop the illegal removal and dumping of stray animals from the city of Volos to Xania in East Pelion, where they will die a slow and painful death of malnutrition and exposure in extreme weather conditions. 

This is not a ‘solution’ to the stray problem. The only solution is a mass neutering programme using the funds available and supporting charities like EPAW to continue their work of rehoming existing stray animals, not exacerbating the problem my introducing more intact stray animals to an already overwhelmed area.
