Update on Petition Delivery and Meeting with Board of Education:

We spoke with Charlie after our petition gathered over 450 signatures. He was more than grateful, appreciative, and moved by all of our efforts and by all of the letters and comments that were generated by the petition. However, pursuant to what we believe is a non-disclosure agreement with the Board of Ed, he is not permitted to speak to anyone about what transpired. He is also concerned that any more publicity that might be generated by our efforts might hurt his chances of finding future employment. Right now, what he needs most is a job to support his young family. We assured him that we would stop our efforts, but that if he had a change of heart, he knew where to find us. We, of course, hoped that the Board of Ed would get wind of the swell of support for him and do something of their own accord. To date, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
