Hi Everyone, we need your help .. Here in England we do not eat dog and cat meat! Me being a dog lover and having a couple of adorable pugs myself absolutely shocks me and many people I know that the Ministry of Justice have blocked a move that was drawn up to make possession of dog and cat meat illegal in the UK .. unfortunately our government have yet again taken the sides of other  people’s beliefs that are not recognised in this country by putting their feelings and their ways before our own by lifting this ban!!  ..YES REALLY !!. Apparently we could offend people from South East Asia countries.  It would be seen as culturally insensitive to them. WAKE UP PEOPLE .. We as a nation love our furry babies and protect them .. We appreciate our pets and would not dream of harming them. We are in England so why are we trying to protect others?? Let's think and act on our own for a change and stuff what others think .

Tory MP Giles Watling stated.."We do not eat them. They are our friends.. This is a very strong and important message to the rest of the world.."        

It's not culturally insensitive to others because we’re not telling them what to do -we’re just telling them what we do in our own country..

Around 30 million dogs and cats are slaughtered each year and we would love to stop this and support any other petitions that may be going but for now let’s get back what’s right in our own country and that’s banning the human consumption of cat and dog meat ..

If you agree and I’m sure you will, we need as many of you to make a statement and sign this petition. We need thousands to try and make a difference in the decision that was stupidly granted.
