The new highway code rules affecting cyclists and other vehicles clearly present dangers to all,  cyclists particularly. The changes give priority to cyclists on the inside of other vehicles when the vehicle is turning left. Riding side by side will create a backlog of vehicles situation in towns and cities, delaying  other road users and directly causing more pollution. Having now spent tens of millions of pounds up and down the country on cycle lanes at the request of the cycling community, we are not told that cyclists are not obliged to use them....surely they are the safest places for  pushbikes? If these new code rules are not reversed there will be a deluge of accidents and it will be the cyclist who will be injured the most.
