In March of this year, a number of Southdocs across Cork were closed to help with dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

All Southdocs have now reopened except Southdoc Blackpool. This is a vital service on the Northside of Cork city. People are now being forced to bring sick children in taxis across the city at a significant cost to themselves.

I've written to Southdoc and the HSE but they are refusing to reopen the clinic despite Minister Eamonn Ryan recognising that the trip from the Northside of Cork to Southdoc on the Kinsale road is too far.

I will be presenting this petition to the Minister for Health and to Southdoc. Let's show them that the Northside needs Southdoc!
