Stop discriminating against the Heathen Faith

Stop discriminating against the Heathen Faith

The Issue

Webster online discriminates against polytheistic faiths,
Odin (noun) is given one definition:“the supreme god & creator in Norse mythology”…whereas Christ (noun) has four definitions, the third one being "An ideal type of humanity" & the fourth explaining 'Christian science: the ideal truth.'...

Jesus is defined as a 'religious teacher...as reported by the Evengelists,' instead of 'a teacher of biblical mythology.'  Jesus should be called a myth.... just as Odin is deemed, ''Norse mythology,'' not 'a religious teacher as reported by Skaldic poets.'  This goes against freedom of religion, & the separation of church & state.

If it is ok to use Christian slurs against polytheists, call it a 'synonym', & define the Heathen faith with prejudice, than is it OK if Heathens do the same & add some synonyms under 'Christian', since there are none?

It is wrong to define the adj. 'Christian' as: 'commendably decent or generous,' but the adj. 'Heathen' means, "Strange, & uncivilized." Who is to define which religion is 'strange', & which is 'decent'?  This is not a definition, but a bias opinion, rather, a derogatory misuse of the word 'Heathen' by monotheists, & you are perpetuating it. Heathens would prefer not to have this second definition added, unless you are willing to add the same under ‘Christian’ too: "strange & uncivilized."

Webster Online Dictionary’s 1st definition of Heathens is “of or relating to heathens, their religions, or their customs”—Under ‘related words’ for Heathen it says ‘idolater,’ which is false.  Pagan-which you define as 'Heathen,' is also wrongly synonymous with 'idolator': a worshipper of idols. 2. 'a person that admires intensily & often blindly one that is not usually a subject of worship.'  A Heathen or pagan is not a blind worshipper of Idols, they do not technically ‘worship’ anything.  Unlike other faiths, we do not kneel in submission to a God.

Please remove the link that says Heathen is a 'Christian religious term.' Since Heathen is defined as a religion, these are separate.

Webster Online Dictionary in no way succeeds at defining the Heathen faith, but it does it a major disservice by slandering it.  For example, ‘Heathenish’: meaning ‘barbarous’...This second definition is a religious stereotype & not what heathen means.  Unless we can add ‘Christianish’ to the dictionary too-& have it mean ‘zealous’.  Same logic.

Webster claims that ‘Heathen’ comes from ‘Old High German’: ‘heidan’; this pertains to Germanic culture.  Therefore, ‘uncultured,’ or ‘irreligious’ should be omitted from any definition for Heathen as well.  Heathens are not cultureless, & this lie must end.  It is no longer politically correct to call Heathens synonymous with ‘uncivilized savages’either… Heathens are only striving to fix these stereotypes in the hopes of honoring & preserving their own unique & misrepresented culture.

PLEASE REMOVE ALL MENTION OF CHRISTIANITY FROM YOUR DEFINITION FOR ‘HEATHEN,’ AS WELL AS ALL SYNONYMS FOR HEATHEN.  ALSO, PLEASE REMOVE THE FALSE & UNMERITED LAST TWO DEFINITIONS OF ‘CHRIST’-‘AN IDEAL TYPE OF HUMANITY,’ & A 'CHRISTIAN SCIENCE: THE IDEAL TRUTH...'...THE FIRST TWO DEFINITIONS:'JESUS' & 'MESSIAH' WORK JUST FINE...WE DON'T NEED FOUR.
