Imagine being bound by your feet and led to a ledge, adrenaline filling your heart. Strange men and women slowly inch you closer and closer to the edge before throwing you off the side. After the torture is over you are sent off to be killed. Your final moments filled with terror and confusion. This was the reality for a poor pig at the Meixin Red Wine Town in China. The theme park has forced a 220lb pig to bungee jump from a 223-foot-tall tower in a promotional stunt. The pig can be heard screaming repeatedly as it plunged down the tower while being attached to a rope and a blue cape. A spokesperson told media that the pig had been sent to a slaughterhouse, claiming that it was well. "Pigs experience pain and fear in the same ways that we do, and this disgusting PR stunt should be illegal,” said Jason Baker. As well, Jason Baker said: 'A bungee jump is a scary experience even for consenting humans - just imagine the outright terror of being forcibly strung up by your legs and thrown from a high platform. Workers at the park continuously denied allegations of animal cruelty, claiming that the pig was completely secure; even going as far to claim it enjoyed the events.This type of animal exploration is very common in China, as they offer no legal protection to animals or promote the welfare of their animals.
