Local private shelters worked with the last Mayor of Targoviste Gabriel Boriga to ensure that stray dogs within the area were given a chance to be adopted both locally and internationally. In a public statement Gabriel Boriga promised that no dogs would be killed if there was a chance of adoption for them, He met publicly with K9 Angels and other local rescuers on 29th March and issued the following statement."Along with representatives of the Association "K9 's Angels" and "Felix", we have established a collaborative project on the management of stray dogs in the city. I want to find modern and non-lethal solutions so that in a short time Târgoviștea and târgovistenii no longer to confront this problem.

I assure you that we are on the right track!

Mr Gabi Boriga has been charged with theft from the public purse and given a 3 year defered sentence, so it looks like Targoviste will have a new Mayor and we are appealling to him.

Today local rescuers went to collect the dogs they had reserved and found that they had been killed. These dogs had offers of homes and a save place to live.

Dogs in Targoviste are not killed in a humane way, no nice injection. They can be killed using hammers, injection of paint thiners. It seems the more barbaric the better for the PS Manageress and her staff. 

We are asking The New Mayor to stop these killings and allow us to offer adoption as previously promised.
