Animal welfare should be the top priority in an animal shelter. Unfortunately at SARC the lack of care and well being that have been wittnessed by the public is unacceptable! Dirty bedding in the cat kennels, no water bowls for dogs, lack of excerise given to the cats, filthy litterboxes (more feces and urine in them then actual litter), unclean small animal cages, cats who are sick with upper respiratory are in adoption rooms who can spread the sickness to other cats including the public's cats when visiting. These are some of the many issues that need to be addressed in the investigation.Being in a shelter environment is stressful enough for all animals, but its the job of the employees to keep them as happy and comfortable while they're in their care. Its disheartning to see that these animals are receiving anything but the best! I am asking you (the public) to sign this pettition so we can get an investigation into SARC and make sure that the animals receive the best care and treatment that they deserve!
