I lived and have lived in Cumberland, Md for years. Every year I see more and more kids out on the street or with nothing to fill their time with. I know a numerous amount of people who live in or around Cumberland, Md that skate/bmx, and I know they would all fully support a park being build in our own town. Up until a year or so we couldn’t even use street spots because we would be kicked out by the owners or the police, all we want is a place to do the thing we love. There has been communities formed and meetings held with more than 50+ people attending with a very short notice. I feel confident when I say that as a voice for the skate/bmx community, We need a park.
