On Sunday, May 7th 2023, two pitbulls named Marshall and Millions were shot and killed by London metropolitan police officers in front of their owner while being held on their leashes after a call was made by a woman who claimed the dogs "attacked her" and were 'out of control.' In a video which has now gone viral, Marshall, Millions, are clearly under control by their owner who is attempting to walk away. When the London metro police arrived, they chose deadly force over de-escalation and shot both dogs in cold blood, and tased Louis Turnbull, the dogs' owner and arrested him. This petition is to demand that all police worldwide receive mandatory de-escalation training with focus on preserving the lives of the animals we love - instead of shooting animals first, tasing their owners next, and then getting away with no consequences of any kind. Signing this petition won't bring Marshall and Millions back, but you can help ensure that a terrible tragedy like this never happens again.
