A former high school football star named Brian Banks who is 26-years old now is attempting to get his life back spending 5 years and 2 months in jail after on advice of his lawyer he pleaded no contest to raping a childhood friend in high school. Banks had served his time but was still on probation and wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet when his accuser Wanetta Gibson friended him on Facebook. During their first in-person meeting Brian says Wanetta admitted he had not raped or kidnapped her but she didn’t want to come forward because she may lose the $1.5 million she was awarded by the Long Beach school district. At the second meeting Brian smartened up and taped her capturing her incriminating statements such as:

“I will go through with helping you, but it’s like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don’t want to have to pay it back.”

In court the judge ruled that Brian will be exonerated, but no word if the accuser will be charged since she was 15 at the time she originally testified. The former middle linebacker said he had a verbal scholarship agreement with USC when he was arrested and still hopes to play football professionally.
