Stop inhumane invasive post-mortem on the deceased bodies

Stop inhumane invasive post-mortem on the deceased bodies

The Issue

Imagine your deceased loved one's body being cut open and organs analysed and then usually disposed off.

The coroners and pathologists should not have an automatic right to request and conduct post-mortem on the deceased's bodies. They should request a CT Scan or an MRI instead as they are usually accurate in proposing or determining a cause of death. Digital autopsy uses advanced technology which is highly effective.

Medical students should be trained on the new technology so that they are more upto date with advanced methods that could be used to save time, money and manpower.

Coroners, Pathologists and any other stakeholders should not have the right to conduct an invasive post-mortem over a body where sophisticated technology can be used as the first point of assessment & like certain councils  scans (digital autopsy) should be given first priority over post-mortem which should only be conducted as a last resort.
