Please sign this petition to stop the KC from registering puppies from puppy farmers!

The KC must define what they class as a "puppy farmer"? The KC made a statement " that one in ten Welsh dog owners admit they may have bought a puppy farmed dog"

The KC must make it clear what they class as a "puppy farmed dog" and make a commitment that they will stop registering litters from them and to stop allowing those to advertise their litters on the KC website!

If the KC was so intent on stamping out puppy farmers they would refuse to register their litters.

It is time that the KC stood up and took action at grassroots level and to stop taking blood money from the puppy farmers.

It is also time that the KC closed the "loophole" and stop multiple people registering litters from the same address, the registrations should be on the address of the property not individuals

We also feel that it is time that all KC registered puppies should come from health tested parents (health tests) relevant to their breed, if the KC truly want healthy sound puppies it is time they did something about it.

On one hand they condemn the actions on the other they condone the actions of puppy farmers by registering their litters

The majority of the public believe that when they buy a "KC registered" puppy they are doing the right thing as that puppy has been "endorsed" by the KC time this was stopped"

"The Kennel Club report: ‘Collaboration is Key": Yet nowhere do they state they will do their part by refusing to register puppy farm litters!

Kennel Club urge collaborative action to combat puppy farming in Wales as new research highlights crisis
28th August 2019 - 5:37 PM

Following the long-awaited announcement that Lucy’s Law, which bans the third party sale of puppies and kittens, will be coming into effect in Wales alongside a review of breeding regulations, the UK’s largest organisation dedicated to the welfare of dogs is urging Assembly Members to consider its action plan to help local authorities clamp down on puppy farmers.

The Kennel Club report: ‘Collaboration is Key: the way forward for Welsh dog breeding regulations’ proposes a solution to help local authorities enforce the regulations and raise breeding standards to eradicate rogue breeders and promote responsible breeders.

This comes as new research, released this week to coincide with the Kennel Club’s Puppy Awareness Week, shows that one in ten Welsh dog owners admit they may have bought a puppy farmed dog, and over one in three acknowledge they wouldn’t recognise the warning signs of a rogue breeder. This is 5 per cent more than in 2018.
